Will Abner, Owner

From helping his grandfather make wine in a Tennessee basement to guiding guests through some of the most compelling wines from around the world, Will Abner has spent his life exploring the connection between people, place, and the vine. His journey began in the restaurant world, where years spent working alongside James Beard Award–winning chefs refined his palate and deepened his appreciation for the artistry of food and wine.

As a sommelier and buyer, Will tasted thousands of wines and discovered that behind every bottle lies a story worth telling. That curiosity eventually led him beyond the dining room and into the world of wine distribution, where he spent several years learning the business side of the industry before joining a major California winery. In 2024, Will took the next step in his wine journey by purchasing Trellis Beverage, a boutique brokerage through which he represents a small collection of family-owned wineries from California, Oregon, and Spain.

Today, Will’s passion lies in sharing wines that express a true sense of place. He believes that great wine begins in the vineyard, and he’s proud to work with producers who act as stewards of the land—crafting honest, expressive wines that reflect where they come from. At dinners like this one, Will’s goal is simple: to connect guests not only to the flavors in their glass, but to the people and places that make each bottle possible.
